Day 1 (40 km)
We kindly ask you to arrive at our office at 9:30 in the morning, so we can prepare your bikes. When everything is ready, you will cycle to Pasila railway station about 2 km south. Get on the train (11:43) and enjoy the ride for 1,5 hours to Turku central railway station. Have lunch in Turku. Then cycle towards Naantali, which is a pretty seaside town and the “summer capital” of Finland. Even the president spends his summer here. Cross over a bridge to the first island, Luonnonmaa. Overnight in Rymättylä island.
Day 2 (35 km)
A bit of cycling in the morning, and then you can board your first ferry at Hanka. Nauvo harbour is a lively place and worth a leisurely walk. Continue west and take a ferry (continuous) to Korppoo island. There are restaurants in town centre and in Verkan harbour. Overnight in Nauvo or Korppoo.
Day 3 (20-30 km)
The ferry to Kökar island leaves from Galtby in Korppoo. Once onboard, enjoy the trip and great sea views. Kökar is a beautiful island and it’s such a plesure to explore it by e-bike. The island has seen travelers come and go since the bronze age. Overnight in Kökar.
Day 4 (30-40 km)
The ferry to Föglö island leaves from Harparnäs port. The island of Föglö is actually many smaller islands connected by bridges. We recommend spending the day riding around. Degerby village has a pub, restaurant and grocery store. Overnight in Föglö.
Day 5 (20 km)
Ferry to Kumlinge island leaves from Överö port. Kumlinge island is extremely pictoresque and offers quiet roads for cycling. It doesn’t get better than this. Overnight in Kumlinge.
Day 6 (30 km)
Ferry to Brändö island leaves from the most northern point of Kumlinge. Brändö community consists of 1200 islands and a lot of water. The biggest islands are nowadays connected by bridges to form a unique string. Cycling from south to north is quite an experience, it will take your breath away. Brändö main island offers a grocery store and limited other services. Cafe Trixies has lunch and sandwiches. Restaurant Gullvivan, 2,5 km north, is also a great place to eat. Overnight in Brändö.
Day 7 (40 km)
Ferry to Kustavi island leaves from the northern tip of the Brändö island road. These islands are bigger and closer to mainland and you can see how the nature is more lush compared to the arid outer islands. Also more services here, notably in Kustavi centrum. Overnight in Kustavi area.
Day 8 (30 km)
Ferry to Teersalo leaves from Hakkenpää. It operates on weekends only once, other days twice. Plan your day accordingly. From Teersalo, depending on accommodation, you will take a continuous ferry to Velkua island, or continue cyclig a bit further towards mainland and Turku. Interesting day!
Day 9 (50 km)
This day will take you through bigger islands of Merimasku and Luonnonmaa. Restaurant Rantamakasiini is a great place for lunch. You can ride straight to Turku or enjoy summer vibes in Naantali. Once in Turku, check into your hotel and head for the river, which flows through the city. Excellent eating and drinking here. On a sunny evening, the river boats are packed with people having a good time. Overnight in Turku.
Day 10 (5km)
After a good breakfast ride to the central station and take the train (9:30) back to Pasila (Helsinki). Return the e-bikes at our office. What a trip!
